Diabetes UK wishes local marathon runners luck

DIABETES UK Northern Ireland is sending best wishes to the local runners taking part in the Belfast Marathon for the charity - and they have appealed for people to support the local runners in Monday's event.

In total there are 14 people from Lisburn taking part; with Shea Higham along with a group of friends and Tracy Glover with three other friends. The Group are among the 110 people taking part in the Marathon to raise funds for diabetes and the charity is asking anyone who is spectating on the day to cheer them on.

Naomi Brown, National Fundraising Assistant for Diabetes UK Northern Ireland said: "We depend so heavily on people like Shea, Tracy and the others to take part in these challenges and raise vital funds for us so I would like to thank them and the entire group for all the time and effort they're putting in to help people with diabetes."
