Dialogue group secures funding

A LOCAL group aimed at encouraging community dialogue has received funding.

Based on the Shared Village model, which allowed us to identify 16 community based groups within the village and develop a community based forum - and the willingness for interested groups identified within the ‘Re-Imaging Communities’ to engage in dialogue; the ‘Association’ has secured funding from the community Dialogue and Exchange Programme of the NE Peace III Partnership to highlight the history and cultural heritage of the area and provide an opportunity for promoting dialogue between people of different faith and cultural backgrounds, in an area which has long been seen as ‘single-identity’.
