Did you attend Limavady College?

THIS June, the Limavady Campus of North West Regional College will celebrate 100 years of quality education and training in the Co Londonderry town.

From its initial inception as Limavady Technical School in Irish Green Street, to Limavady College of Further & Higher Education, and then as one of the three main campuses in the merged North West Regional College in 2007, the College has provided the local community, and learners from further afield, with opportunities to improve their qualifications and skills.

To mark this significant milestone, former students are invited to get in touch to share their stories and experiences of their time at the College. From recently graduated students, to those who left the College many years ago; whether you completed a full- or part-time course that helped you gain new skills or entry to university or employment, or if you have a personal story to tell about the friends or partners you met, the fun you had on college trips, or if you studied alongside a mother, father or sibling – the College wants to hear them all.

Former students are asked to email their details including the course and year they completed their studies, and a brief overview of their experience to [email protected]. Alternatively you can complete the alumni form on the College website: http://www.nwrc.ac.uk/our_college/alumni.html or simply phone the College on 028 7127 8711 to share your experience.

On Friday 18th June, the Limavady Campus will open its doors between 9.30am – 11.30am to the public, allowing visitors a chance to view the current facilities and see what the College has to offer learners today. There is no need to book – simply call in and staff will be pleased to show you around.

The tours will be followed by a special event at 12.45pm, providing an opportunity for former staff and students to celebrate the College's centenary. A limited number of places are available for former students to attend this event – the free tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis – please contact Geri Martin on 028 7127 8711 or email [email protected] to indicate your interest in attending.
