Louise Breslin, Project Officer with Derry City Council, explained that the “What’s On Guide” had been developed with both city residents and visitors in mind.

She said: “The ‘What’s On Guide’ is a valuable resource for the whole community, allowing people and groups to find out what’s on or even promote their own events.

“Users can easily add their own events free of charge, once registered on the site. This project has the potential to have a real impact across the community and economy.

“This investment is particularly timely, given the UK City of Culture win for the city and the forthcoming launch of the Digital Derry Initiative. “The guide will be a great facility allowing our increasingly digitally-aware community to access the programming for the forthcoming UK City of Culture celebrations between now and 2013.”
