Diocese wins communications prizes

THE Church of Ireland Diocese of Derry and Raphoe has won two prizes for communication, announced on May 8, at the General Synod in Dublin.

The prizes are awarded each year by the Central Communications Board of the Church of Ireland. The competition is judged by external media professionals.

N'vision is the diocesan magazine. It has four issues per year and goes to 12,000 homes in the diocese. It took first place in the Best Diocesan Magazine category. The prize was awarded by the Archbishop of Armagh and received by Rev Pat Storey, Editor of N'vision.

Derry and Raphoe diocese launched a new website in October 2009.

The new website took first place in the Best Diocesan website category. Archbishop Harper presented the prize to Earl Storey from Topstorey Communications, who provided the site.
