Disappointed Little Mix fans vent anger on social media

Hundreds of Little Mix fans have been venting their anger on social media after the Belfast concerts were cancelled at the last minute.

Many had travelled from Lurgan, Craigavon and Portadown and were standing in queues outside the SSE Arena when they heard the news.

The girl band were due to perform at the SSE Arena at 2pm and again at 8pm but it’s been called off at the last minute.

The reason given was singer Jesy took sick after they had performed in Dublin on Wednesday night.

Concert promoters Aiken issued a brief statement this afternoon saying: “We regret to announce that both LITTLE MIX shows at The SSE Arena will not take place today due to Jesy being unwell and not able to perform.

“Please hold on to your tickets - we hope to be able to make a further announcement on possible rescheduling later today.”

However parents who had brought their children to this afternoon’s gig voiced anger at the late announcement.

They had already spent a great deal of money on train fares and treats for their children as they were hoping to making it a special day out.

One mum said: “Swear to god little mix cancelled ..one very upset wee girl on my hands now.”

She said they were only informed half an hour before the concert was due to start.

In October One Direction also cancelled their concert after one of its band members was ill.
