Discarded clothes at lough sparks appeal

Discarded clothes found on the shores of Lough Neagh have sparked a police appeal

The items were discovered at Columbkille Road, Portadown at around 11am on Monday close to the water’s edge by a member of the public.

“We want to make sure that no one has been hurt or is in danger so we are asking anyone who has information about the clothes to give us a call,” said a spokesperson.

PSNI Inspector Patterson said: “Police have searched the area and nothing has been found.

“The clothes included a grey Remus suit, grey shirt, grey and black tie and black boxer shorts.”

Police are keen to hear from anyone who has any information relating to the clothes. They can be contacted on the non emergency number 101.”
