Discharge for disorder man

AN 18 months' conditional discharge has been been given at Ballymena Magistrate's Court to a local man who admitted a charge of disorderly behaviour.

Jordan Kenny, (20), a trainee butcher, of Shetland Gardens was also fined 100 at the court sitting in Antrim last Thursday.

The court heard that on August 21, police had gone to home of the defendant, who was on curfew, but could not find him.

When they later returned to the property he became aggressive and when they attempted to escort him from his home he started to shout and swear.

Police warned him to calm down but he struggled and had to be handcuffed.

The court heard that CS was also used.

A solicitor for Kenny said that his client had been on bail at the time.

He added that when taken to the police station, his client fully apologised to police for his earlier conduct.
