Disco fever for TinyLife

Local mum Kristina Ashe recently organised a fundraising disco to raise much needed funds for TinyLife, Northern Irelands premature baby charity.

The event took place at The Kiln in Larne and raised over £400.

Kristina, whose daughter Kelsey was born 12 weeks prematurely at Antrim Area Hospital, wanted to raise funds for TinyLife to support the families of other premature babies.

She extended her thanks to all those who helped and supported her in the fundraising event, especially Natalie Warren, bar manager at the Kiln.

Gillian Breen, TinyLife community fundraiser says “it’s thanks to the support we get from local people like Kristina that we are able to continue to provide our services to families across Northern Ireland.”

Every day in Northern Ireland seven babies are born too soon, some will arrive as early as 24 weeks and weigh as little as one pound.

TinyLife provides practical and emotional support to the parents of premature and vulnerable babies through a range of family support services including hospital to home visitation programme, breast pump loan service, family activity, baby massage and dads club.
