Discover heritage buildings

LOCAL residents can delve into Craigavon’s unique architecture and history on September 8 and 9 in celebration of the annual European Heritage Open Days programme.

European Heritage Open Days celebrate and increase public awareness of local built heritage and its importance to the local area.

Moneypenny’s Lockhouse, which is a short walk along the Newry Canal Towpath from Knock Bridge, will be open on both Saturday, September 8 and Sunday, September 9 from 2-5pm each day.

The Barn Museum in Tannaghmore Gardens will be open on Sunday, September 9, from 2-5pm. Members of staff will be on hand at all buildings to help inform visitors about the buildings and the unique stories associated with them.
