'Disgraceful and reckless'

I am writing about the disgraceful and reckless behaviour of one of the town's taxi drivers.

My husband and I were travelling along in the car with our two young children when a taxi driver cut us up on Edward Street just before McDonald's on Saturday afternoon.

The taxi driver flew past us and then cut up Hill Street, it was totally reckless.

Only that my husband spotted him in the mirror and got out of the way there wasn't an accident - he was flying, doing well over 50mph and luckily there was no other car beside us and we could move over.

The taxi would have hit the side of the car my infant was sat at and it would not have been a good outcome.

My husband hit the horn at the driver and we were shocked when we got the fingers back.

I called the taxi depot and the woman on the phone did apologise, but we were all very shaken by it and my wee girl who is only nine was in tears.

The actions of this driver were totally disgraceful.
