The court heard that police entered the defendant’s house and found a magnet attached to the electricity meter. The amount of money involved was £89.51.

Carlisle said she paid for her electric by top up card and denied any knowledge of the magnet on the meter.

The damage was that because of the magnet the meter had to be replaced.
