Disorderly behaviour fine after scuffle

A man who got involved in trouble on a Lurgan street was fined £75 last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for disorderly behaviour.

The court heard that on October 7 at 12.20am police were called to William Street where a number of males were fighting. They made two arrests.

Police then viewed CCTV and saw the defendant, Christopher Michael Kennedy (19), Drumbeg, Craigavon, in a verbal and then physical altercation with another male.

A solicitor for Kennedy said he had gone to a car park where a number of males were having a disagreement. He was pushed a number of times but there was a scuffle and he ended up on the ground. The solicitor added that a constable came to the assistance of the defendant. Kennedy thanked him and headed home.
