Distraction burglary in Lisburn

Sometime between 4:45pm and 5:30pm on Thursday, August 23, an elderly lady answered a knock on her door. Two men claiming to be from a heating company asked to check her heating.

One went with her to the rear of the property and when the lady became suspicious she asked for ID. When they couldn’t show any she asked them to leave. After they left the lady discovered an upstairs bedroom had been ransacked.

Any one with information or who noticed a black Audi car in the area with at least three males on board is asked to contact detectives at Lisburn on 0845 600 8000. Information can also be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
