Diverse range of exhibitions planned for coming year

From Alice in Wonderland to medieval torture equipment, Carrick is set to host a diverse range of exhibitions in the coming year.

Local councillors were briefed on details of several proposed displays at a meeting of the Museums and Exhibitions sub-committee. Members were advised that with 2015 marking the 150th anniversary of the publication of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, a display of illustrations would be available at a cost of £200 per week.

Meanwhile, information is also being sought for displays on RNLI and the Post Office, specifically the war effort and Carrick-related content.
