The team took part in a workshop as part of a 12-week Cultural Diversity Programme in the Sunnylands and Woodburn estates.

The programme is being delivered with the help of Good Relations funding from Mid and East Antrim Borough Council.

Facilitated by TD3 Consultancy, the project works with 15 young people from the area aged 10-14 years.

While each week features a different topic, the overall purpose of the programme is to help young people become more informed about the various cultures that exist within society, say organisers. Part of the programme will be facilitated by a local asylum seeker.

Meanwhile, the participants’ progression is being filmed throughout the 12-week period, with the final workshop to end with a celebration of the project and a viewing of the DVD.
