DIY Project at Ballysally

RESIDENTS of Ballysally recently embarked on a learning exercise with a difference at North Coast Integrated College.

It really was a case of do it yourself as the DIY Project, organised by Focus on Family in partnership with the Ballysally IFI Project, will run for six weeks.

It will give participants the opportunity to take part in taster sessions which will include two weeks each of plastering, tiling and joinery.

Hopefully by the end of the course there will be a number of ‘do it yourself handypersons’ renovating their own homes.

Focus on Family would like to thank Jim Frizelle, principal of North Coast Integrated College, for his continued and invaluable support.

Again, as part of the IFI Community Relations Project, Focus on Family has recently run another certified course in Basic Food Hygiene which was very popular and well attended.

The course was so popular it was oversubscribed and may well run again. The course was delivered by Coleraine Borough Council Environmental Health department.

If residents in Ballysally or Millburn would like to participate in any future food hygiene courses please contact Brendan Patterson at Focus on Family on (028) 70 329 550 for further information.
