'˜Do decent thing' mum's appealafter girl's attack

Sharon Bowman said that her daughter was surrounded by a group of five or six boys, punched in the stomach by two of them and then grabbed by the wrist before an attempt was made to drag her to the rear of shops at Castlemara Drive.

Sharon added: “Thankfully she got away. Please if anyone seen anything at all, or knows who was involved please can you let the police know or the principal at Carrick College.

“My daughter is only ten-years-old. What has happened is absolutely vile.”

“Please help me find out who did it so they can be brought to justice.”

Sharon said that her daughter had gone to the shop, which is just a minute’s walk from their Castlemara home, last Thursday morning, at around 8.20 am, to get change for an after-school dance club.

“There would have been a lot of school kids about at the time.

“I just hope that someone will do the decent thing and go to the police or notify the school.”
