Jonathan Duddy, whose address was given to the court as HMP Maghaberry, appeared by way of videolink from the prison.

He was given two months in custody for a disorderly behaviour offence.

The court heard that around 1am on August 9 last year in Union Street, Lurgan, Duddy and another man were seen by police.

They went to search him but he said they would not be touching him and ‘do you know who you are dealing with’. Duddy continued to shout and was warned about his behaviour but said: “I don’t give a f—k.”

He tried to walk away saying to police: “You get your f—king hands of me if you know what’s good for you.”

A barrister representing Duddy said he had had a significant record for public order offences.

She added that he was a man with an alcohol problem but had addressed a difficulty he had with drugs.

The barrister said Duddy had been given a lengthy custodial sentence in December and would be in custody until June.
