Dobbies launches Christmas Charity Partnership with CLIC Sargent

DOBBIES Garden World Lisburn is hosting a Christmas Charity Evening to celebrate all things festive and to launch its National Christmas charity partnership with CLIC Sargent.

The retailer’s annual Charity Evening launches the Christmas shopping season and will kick-start the Dobbies Christmas fundraising campaign which aims to raise £50k to enable CLIC Sargent to help support children, young people and their families to deal with childhood cancer.

CLIC Sargent provides clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to help children and young people and their families to cope with cancer and get the most out of life. CLIC Sargent is there from diagnosis onwards and aims to help the whole family deal with the impact of cancer and its treatment, life after treatment and, in some cases, bereavement.

On Dobbies Charity Evening, the magic of Christmas will be brought to life for customers through live demonstrations including ‘How to glam-up your Christmas tree’ and ‘Icing inspiration for your Christmas cake from our in-store bakers’. With live music from the local community, children’s entertainment such as craft tables and face painters, and a host of foodie demos, there really is something for everyone.

Barbara McLeod, Community Champion for Dobbies Lisburn said, “CLIC Sargent is a fantastic charity to be working with and will touch the hearts of our customers, many of whom are parents and grandparents themselves.

Tickets for Dobbies Christmas Charity Evening are £1 and include a mince pie and mulled wine on arrival. All ticket proceeds will be donated to CLIC Sargent.
