Dobbies to stir up support to make its biggest donation to Macmillan

To celebrate hosting Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee morning for the fourth consecutive year, Dobbies Garden Centres is this year increasing its donation for every hot drink sold from 5p to 25p to ensure that more funds are raised to help people living with cancer.

Customers can also contribute by giving a donation and guessing the weight of a specially-baked cake from Dobbies bakery.

The retailers Farm Foodhall will also donate a further 25p from every item of its specially created Macmillan bakery-to-go range available on the day – customers can choose from a heart shaped scone, Macmillan cupcake or empire biscuit.

Adriano Trebbi, Restaurant Development Manager for Dobbies said: “This is the fourth year Dobbies restaurants will be supporting Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and we are aiming to ‘whip up’ our biggest donation yet.

“Dobbies restaurants are ideal venues for people to gather and take time out to get together with friends, relatives and colleagues over a coffee and help raise much needed funds at this unique nationwide event. We look forward to welcoming hundreds of customers along to help us make a ‘grande’ difference to the lives of those people living with cancer.”
