‘Doc gone, but will never be forgotten’
“Few politicians from Northern Ireland will ever be recognised beyond these shores but Dr Paisley was a towering figure in Ulster British and European politics who will never be forgotten.”
That was the reaction from East Antrim MLA Alastair Ross following the announcement that former First Minister and DUP leader Ian Paisley had died.
Mr Ross said: “Whether people liked or loathed him, his presence and infectious personality cannot be denied. Ian’s love for his family, faith and country is unparalleled and he will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
