Mat Irvine is a special effects designer and has worked extensively on Doctor Who, operating K-9 on the most recent series, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. He also co-created Robot Wars.

During the event in Lurgan Library, Mat will present a talk on K-9 and members of the audience will be able to have their picture taken with the famous dog, meet Mat and buy a signed copy of one of
his books.

Valerie Christie, Childrens Services manager at Libraries NI, said: “We first brought Mat Irvine to Lisburn City library back in January so it is with great pleasure that he is coming across to Northern Ireland again for six events, including this one at Lurgan Library.”

This event is likely to appeal to people of all ages (children must be five and over) so anyone interested is advised to book early to avoid disappointment.
