Dog mess 'torture'
BANBRIDGE is "tortured" with dog-fouling, according to Councillor Junior McCrum, who wants to know how many people have been "taken up" by the local dog warden in respect of the problem in the last year.
Mr. McCrum asked for figures at last week’s council meeting, where he named Rathfriland Street as one particularly badly hit area.
Certainly some people carried bags and cleaned up after their pets, he said, but many others simply didn’t care.
Mr. David Lindsay of Environmental Services undertook to report on the matter at the next committee meeting.
