Dogs have their day at annual show

EXHIBITORS and judges from Ireland, England and Scotland were at Magheramorne for the Latharna Canine and Dog Training Club's all breed open show.

This year’s event - held at the Blue Circle Cruising and Sailing Club - attracted a very good entry of local dogs, with club members winning as follows:

Reserve Best in Show: Jimmy McFarlane with his Lhasa Apso.

Best Terrier Group - Adrian Magill with his Smooth Fox Terrier.

Best Puppy in Group - Marlene Graham with her Golden Retriever.

Veteran Stakes - Margaret Williamson with her Bearded Collie.

Champion Stakes - Jane Anthony with her Rhodesian Ridgeback.

The club members would like to thank all who supported the show with particular thanks to Larne council, Feedwell and Red Mills for providing sponsorship and the donation of prizes.

A cheque was presented by the judge of the Best in Show category, Walter Dick, to Marbeth Gilmour from the Dogs’ Trust from proceeds raised at the Dog’s Day in the Park event held earlier this year.
