Dogs Trust Litter Looking For Some Puppy Love

The cuties were brought to the centre a couple of weeks ago having been handed over as part of an unwanted litter.

The pups - three boys and five girls – called Rooney, Colleen, Posh, Becks, Dawson, Anna, Hesky and Chantelle - are just seven weeks old.

They aren't ready to show off their fancy footwork just yet but staff expect that, like most dogs, they will grow up to be football fanatics.

Dogs Trust Ballymena Centre Manager Mary Carney says: "These puppies really are a bundle of joy and our team are dedicating every spare minute to caring for them. "We usually look to rehome pups when they're eight weeks old so these little lovelies are pretty much ready to find their forever families.

"Visitors are welcome to come along to the centre between 12pm and 4m every day except Friday to meet our fabulous dogs".

Although staff at Dogs Trust Ballymena absolutely love having pups at the centre, the charity would like to urge people to get their dogs neutered.

As well as providing many health benefits – such as protecting against certain forms of cancer – neutering prevents unplanned litters of puppies adding to the already high numbers of unwanted dogs in the country.
