Ian Bradbury (31), whose address was given as Victor Place, Dollingstown, was also fined £200 and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

The court heard that at around 2.20pm on November 6 a three vehicle road traffic accident happened at Alfred Terrace in Dollingstown.

Bradbury’s car collided with another vehicle and a parked vehicle.

When interviewed he made a counter allegation that the injured party had been driving too fast.

The case was listed last Wednesday as a contest but on the day the defendant changed his plea to guilty.

Mr Pat Vernon, representing the defendant, said that when he sat down and explained to the defendant the difficulties of contesting the matter Bradbury accepted responsibility.

He added that his client had been banned from driving at Lisburn court on November 6.

Bradbury was fully insured and the injured party has been reimbursed, added Mr Vernon.
