Domestic Care Services: Providing support and care

DOMESTIC Care Services held its official opening of its new offices on Blindgate Street in Coleraine last Wednesday.

The company, which is registered with the Regulation Quality and Improvement Authority, has been providing care at home service since 1995, and in the Triangle and surrounding areas since 2008.

The aim of Domestic Care is to provide support and care to persons, young or old who need help to remain at home in comfort.

This could be from complex personal care tasks right through to companionship, social outings and household tasks. Domestic Care can also offer respite for carers who need those few precious hours of a break to help them continue in their caring role or night assistance to enable a main carer have a good night's sleep.

Vera McKendrick manages to service in the Causeway area and leads her team of dedicated carers who are all vetted with the police and fully trained before they commence providing care.

Lesley Megarity, Chief Executive of Domestic Care, said: “We are delighted to have this highly visible presence in the Coleraine Area. We are one of Northern Ireland's largest private providers of care at home and we look forward to offering our services to more people in the Causeway area.

“Working with the Northern Trust, we aim to provide a high quality of care to all our clients. We can also care to people who come to us directly.”
