Donate your furniture to Can Can

Can Can Recycling have been selling “previously loved” furniture for over a year now and it has generated vital funds for their charity.

Their showroom is based at 20, Seymour St Ballymoney and they sell some items of furniture in the charity shop Can Can Bazaar on Main St, Ballymoney.

Can Can Recycling is an environmental social business that provides people with learning disabilities invaluable opportunities for training and work experience.

Clare Cushnahan from Can Can Recycling states: “We are currently quite low of furniture and we are asking local people to donate any unwanted pieces of furniture, maybe you have some old items lying about in the attic you want to get rid of or items that have been cluttering up the garage. We will collect any donated items free of charge”

All items donated must be of a reasonable quality for re-sale, although we do take other older pieces that can be re-furbished- in particular solid furniture and unique pieces. The trainees help with the refurbishing of the furniture this includes sanding, painting, re-upholstery and varnishing, this enables the trainees to gain very valuable work skills.

The furniture showroom is open to the public 9am – 4pm Monday to Friday at 20 Seymour Street, (just off Stations Yard) Ballymoney and you are invited to come along and see what they have.

If you have any items that you would like to donate phone (028) 2766 7775.
