Donation to Community Rescue Team
FUNDING to provide equipment for the Community Rescue Team in the North West and North Antrim areas has been given a boost thanks to the generosity of two local churches.
A total of 470 was raised from the ‘retiring offering’ at last month’s Bushvale and Roseyards Candlelight Carol Service.
On Friday of last week, Mr. Sean McCarry, Regional Commander of the Community Rescue Service, (centre of picture) travelled to Stranocum to receive the cheque from the minister of Roseyards, Rev. Mark Jones (right) and the minister of Bushvale, Rev. Kenneth Crowe.
Mr. McCarry thanked Mr. Jones and Mr. Crowe and their parishioners for their generosity. The money will be channelled to the Team tthrough the James Elliott fund.
