Donnelly in the awards at Clogher Valley Show

THE 2010 Clogher Valley Show was another success for the Donnelly Group as they picked up the Award for Best Show Stand for the second consecutive year.

With an audience of over 15,000, this year's event was even better than last year and Raymond Donnelly marked it the event of the year.

“As a group we have long recognised the commercial importance of Country Shows," he said.

"They are fantastic events and are incredibly popular, bringing together 1,000s of people from across the Province and further afield.

"The Clogher Event Show really is my favourite of the show calendar. It is exceptionally well attended and organised and there is alot to see and do for the family,” said Donnelly.

The audience was well up on last year and the highlight of the show was the attendance of Irish Rugby International, Tommy Bowe, as guest of the Donnelly Group.

“I am delighted that we have picked up the award for Best Show Stand again," said Mr Donnelly.

"I must take this opportunity to thank our staff who put a lot of work into the presentation of the stand. It is a measure of how important we view the show and our customers from across the Clogher Valley.

"It was also great to have Tommy with us this year, as a good friend of the company."

As well as getting the chance to meet with Tommy Bowe as he signed autographs and had pictures taken, there were prizes on the day of tickets to the new Aviva Stadium in Dublin and a signed rugby shirt, won respectively by, Una Shields from Omagh and Maxwell Donaghey from Sixmilecross.
