Doors open at community flat
THE official unveiling of new community premises in the Windmill and Minorca Drive area of Carrick took place this week.
The first floor flat at 3 Westmount Avenue, provided by the local Housing Executive office, is set to become a hub of activity for the community, and is one of 30 communities across Northern Ireland to be included in the Housing Executive's Shared Neighbourhood Programme.
Housing Executive Chairman, Brian Rowntree was joined Northern Ireland Housing Council Chairman, Carrickfergus Councillor Jim Brown, to mark the official opening on Tuesday.
