The medals were presented by Lyndsay Corry, Northern Ireland women’s senior international player and Jacqueline Blyth, women’s assistant, Irish Football Association.

Speaking about the competition Jacqueline said: “It has been a privilege to work with the Girls’ Brigade throughout this tournament. I congratulate them on their high standard of organisation and on the high standard of play seen here tonight. It is commendable to see GB providing an opportunity for girls to play football at this level.”

Tournament organiser, GBNI Activities officer Heather Currie added: “In total over 500 girls took part in this competition at both the district and Norther Ireland final stages. Keeping fit and healthy is an important, core part of the Girls’ Brigade programme and I am thrilled that so many girls got involved. Football is one of many sports offered at competition level in GB as we continually strive to be relevant and dynamic for all our girls. I congratulate all who took part.”
