Draperstown meeting to address welfare reform cuts

A public meeting will be held in Draperstown later this month, to address fears over the impact of welfare reform cuts.

The STEPS mental health group office will be the venue for the meeting on August 19.

Starting at 7.30pm, the discussion will be chaired by Harry Hutchinson from the Mid Ulster Trades Union Council

Organisers of the meeting say they hope to outline the reality and impact of the cuts on the lives of ordinary people.

They will be asking if “more should be done to support people against the effects of cuts to services”.
