This is an annual event in which members of the local community were also invited to attend to take part in TIDY Northern Ireland’s ‘Big Spring Clean’ in association with Mid Ulster District Council through John Murtagh, their environmental projects officer.

In total 123 pupils were involved in this clean-up. St. Colm’s continue to lead this initiative as part of their ‘Adopt a Spot’ commitments and have been stewards of ‘The Plantain’ for over 10 years. As part of ‘Adopt a Spot’ they pledge to carry out a minimum of 4 clean-ups of the area per year.
