Dress it up!

TO celebrate the Olympic Torch coming to the Borough of Coleraine in June, Causeway Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Coleraine Borough Council is inviting businesses of the Borough to Dress it Up!

To support the Olympic Torch coming to the Borough there will be a competition to find the Borough’s best dressed shop window and business front.

James McCullagh, of Lord Sugar’s Junior Apprentice fame, is helping out by advising how to get the best from this magnificent event and will be judging the final entries on Monday 4th June in Coleraine town centre.

Mayor of Coleraine, Alderman Maurice Bradley said, “We need everyone to get on board and help to animate the Olympic Torch route during the two days in the Borough, which includes Portrush, Coleraine, Articlave, Castlerock and Downhill Beach.

“This competition is a great idea and I hope that everyone gets on board and I thank James, our very own Junior Apprentice, for judging the entries. We appeal to local businesses to support the Olympic programme and hope they will get their thinking caps on!”

James McCullagh said, “It’s great to see the Olympic Torch coming to the Borough of Coleraine and I have no doubt that everyone in the local community will be getting involved in some way. This particular competition is a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to be part of this unique event and I’m delighted to be a part of it.

“I look forward to judging the competition and seeing all the fantastic ideas local business owners come up with to dress up their windows.”
