Drink driver 'copped' after crashing into police car

Police are quizzing a suspect drink driver who drove into the back of a police car in Cookstown.

The incident happened yesterday afternoon.

Mid Ulster police said in a social media post that anyone thoughtless enough to drink drive should try NOT to drive into the back of a police car!

"In the broad light of the afternoon a male in Cookstown, not only took his own life in his hands but anyones in the town today!! Thankfully he is resting in a cell..waiting to be charged and a judge will decide his prize!"

"When will it end folks..message is simple. DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE."
