The court heard that at 7.20pm police saw a scrambler being ridden on a grass area in Craigavon before going into Drumellan.

At the address of the defendant’s partner they found the scrambler in a shed. It was seized.

Mr Gabriel Ingram, representing the defendant, said that Ruddell did not realise he was doing anything wrong.

He explained that the defendant had just bought the bike two and a half weeks previously with the intention of doing it up in his back garden.
