Driving ban for woman

A COLERAINE woman was disqualified from driving following her appearance at North Antrim Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Kelly Charlene Reid (22) of Somerset Drive, was charged with permitting someone else to drive her car with no licence and insurance.

Court heard that police were called to an accident at Oakvale Park in Coleraine on August 29 last year.

Reid’s co-accused was spoken to and admitted driving her car with no licence and insurance.

On October 3, Reid was cautioned for the offences and admitted permitting a third party to drive her car.

A solicitor told the court that the vehicle wasn’t taken without her permission.

District Judge, Richard Wilson, fined Reid 150 and put her off the road for three months.
