Driving examiner was punched in the face twice by irate learner

A driving examiner was punched in the face twice during one of two attacks last year, it's been revealed.

The Driver and Vehicle Agency (DVA) confirmed the examiner abandoned a driving test due to the customer becoming verbally abusive.

“The examiner exited the vehicle and the customer quickly followed, and struck the examiner twice in the face. The PSNI were contacted in this instance,” the DVA confirmed.

In the second instance a learner became angry and made verbal threats to the examiner after failing their test.
