Driving with'smashed' windscreen
Police stopped the red Peugeot 106 on October 12 last year, North Antrim Magistrates Court in Coleraine was told on Friday.
Lucian Catrinoiu (28), a part-time farm labourer, of Victoria Street, admitted a charge relating to the condition of the vehicle and absence of MOT and insurance and was fined a total of 300 and given six penalty points.

A defence solicitor said he disagreed with the description given by police of the windscreen but did admit it was a “bad crack” and the wing mirror was badly damaged.
He claimed the defendant had a replacement windscreen and mirror in the car but had not got round to taking it to a mechanic to get the work done.
The car, which it was alleged were bought a week before for 250, was seized by police.
The solicitor said the defendant now has another vehicle and is covered by insurance.
