Dromore High School celebrates Harvest

Dromore High School held its annual Harvest celebration at Dromore Cathedral recently.

The service, led by a number of Upper Sixth students, featured the school choir, readers and the Youth Pastor from Dromore Elim church, Paul Eagleson.

Thoughts were focused on the topic of thankfulness and the struggles society faces today alongside struggles with poverty in other countries. Students spoke of their visit to Uganda during the 2012 school year and a video featuring students and teachers from Dromore High “reminded us of things we could be thankful for - friends, family, education, jobs etc.”

Readings were taken from Psalms (100:5, 119:90), Jeremiah (5:24) and Deuteronomy (16:10).

The choir led two hymns, ‘Be Still for the Presence of the Lord’ and ‘Come Ye Thankful People Come’ and Nikita Graham and Zoe Campbell sang ‘The Lord’s My Shepherd’ as a duet.

A collection for the Simon Community raised £301.55.
