Dromore U15s use frustration to beat Bangor Rangers

After a tough midweek defeat which dented the U15s hopes of finishing runners up in the League, they took all their frustration out on Bangor Rangers beating them 8-0.

The opening exchanges saw both teams working hard to stifle any attacks.

Midway through the first half Dromore took the lead after a set piece from a corner kick between Ben Scott and Michael McCavitt caught the Bangor defence napping and Michael rifled the ball home with venom from close range.

Michael McCavitt got himself a second goal after some cool composure in the box saw him leave the keeper stranded with the ball sailing past him. Michaels third goal for the hat trick was a cheeky one - Dylan Hickey stormed down the left flank and got a shot away which was going in only for Michael to tap it in inches from the line.

The second half saw Matty Brush introduced and his pace and skill gave the Bangor Rangers defence a torrid time. It took him just 15 minutes to grab his hat trick. Alan Shelsher and Sam Stewart added to the u15s tally for the day.

Overall it was such a good team performance from the front line and the rearguard that Banger Rangers had no answer to the dominant play from the U15s. On two separate occasions Bangor Rangers forwards thought they had scored only to see Jamie Gregg and Ben Scott clear the ball off the line. With only three games to complete their league campaign the coaches hope the U15s can keep playing like this.
