A Dromore woman and her coaching consultancy team have landed an award from the charity Concern Worldwide.

Professional Certified Coach Anne Dargan founded Rapid Change Consultancy in 2009, this after a long career in BT, where she is described as having led large, multi-disciplinary teams.

Anne and the team picked up the Concern Worldwide Volunteers Award after RCC coaches were involved in supporting Concern’s Pathway programme for managers.

They also supported Country Directors and Assistant Country Directors in ‘the field’, fighting poverty where it is needed most.

Between coaching for 10 directors and assistant directors and 23 people on the Pathway programme, Concern this year benefitted from some 90 hours of coaching, free of charge.

It included people working in Kenya, South Sudan, Ireland, UK, Pakistan, Uganda, Niger, Mozambique, Burundi, Lebanon, Chad and Ethiopia.

Said Anne of the award: “We were very surprised and excited to be associated with this award.

“I would particularly like to acknowledge the coaches involved who gave their valuable time willingly to support Concern.”

Anne was also recognised for her “outstanding contribution to coaching” by the International Coaching Federation board, who praised her “commitment, passion and dedication to coaching in Ireland”.

The pro-bono work provided to Concern Worldwide by RCC coaches also merited two Highly Commended awards in the Coaching Culture category and the President’s Award, which recognises work in support of ICF’s mission of “humanity flourishing”.

Anne is described as one of Northern Ireland’s most prolific advocates for the power of coaching in leading change and is credited with having expertly illustrated the benefits of employing transformation programmes aimed at driving behavioural and cultural change in the workplace.

Anne is the sole provider of coach training that meets the standards of the ICF in Northern Ireland.
