Drove into vehicle in front of him

WHEN he was distracted by something at the side of the road a Lurgan man drove into the vehicle in front of him, Craigavon court heard last week.

Liam McGibbon (31), of Gilpin Mews, Lurgan, was fined 125, with four penalty points, for driving without due care and attention on September 14 last year.

The court heard that the defendant was driving along Lake Road in Craigavon at 5.30pm.

His attention was distracted by an incident at the side of the road and he collided with the vehicle in front of him which hit the vehicle in front of it.

The defendant’s solicitor said someone had taken a heart attack at the side of the road and his client was more concerned about her.
