Drugs arrest

A MAN and a woman have been charged with possession of class A and B drugs and possession of class A and B drugs with intent to supply.

Both aged 32, they are expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on 12 January 2012.

The charges relate to the seizure of drugs with an estimated street value of more than £10,000 in Carrick on Tuesday.

A 39-year-old woman also arrested during yesterday’s search operation was subsequently charged with assault on police, resisting police, and obstructing police. She’s due to appear at Belfast Magistrates court on 17 January.

As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
