It is believed that the drugs, which will be sent for detailed analysis, include cannibis resin, herbal cannibis and cannibis plants with an approximate amount to a street value of £15,000.

Strabane Area Commander Chief Inspector Andy Lemon said, “I am very pleased with this significant find as it shows the determination within the PSNI to irradicate this type of activity. Police officers need the support from the local community to address the issue of drugs. The key to reducing the availability of drugs on our streets is information. The Strabane public are encouraged ‘not to turn a blind eye’ to the sale and supply of illegal drugs in our towns and villages. Local police are dedicated towards tackling the issue of drugs. This will remain a policing priority and we want to reassure the public that we will act upon any information received.”

Anyone with any information on the use of sale of illegal drugs should contact Strabane Police Station.
