Drugs found at postal carrier office

Police in Craigavon have arrested a 54-year-old man following the seizure of suspected cannabis.

A police spokesman said: “On Monday, 18 January, a quantity of suspected cannabis was discovered in a package at postal carrier premises in Craigavon.”

Police seized the suspected drugs and a search was conducted in the Corcrain Drive area of Portadown on Thursday, 21 January.

“A 54 year old man was arrested for attempting to possess Class B controlled drugs and dishonestly using electricity. He was later released pending report to the PPS.”
