Drugs found in Coleraine play park

Illegal drugs with a street value of £4,000 have been found in a play park in the Heights area.

The amphetamines were found by an officer in the play park in the Kylemore Road, Drumard Drive area of the town on Tuesday afternoon October 26.

Neighbourhood Constable Mark McCallion who seized the drugs said: "It is highly irresponsible for anyone to leave drugs in an area used by young people.

"And, I am asking parents to remind their children not to touch or consume any items that they find when playing outside."

Anyone who can help to identify the source of the illegal drugs or anyone who has any information regarding the sale, supply or misuse of controlled drugs is asked to contact the police at Coleraine.
