Drugs found in Craigavon

THREE men have been arrested after suspected illegal drugs were found by the police on patrol in Craigavon, it has been revealed.

Officers were patrolling the Acorn Grove area when they saw a number of men acting suspiciously around 4.30pm on Thursday, June 6.

“The males made off when police approached and a search of the area uncovered a quantity of suspected mephedrone,” said a police spokesperson.

Two males, travelling in a BMW car, were subsequently stopped by police and arrested. The pair, aged 36 and 37 years old, were arrested on suspicion of possession of Class B drugs, possession of Class B drugs with intent to supply and supplying Class B drugs.

A 44 year old man was later arrested in suspicion of possession of Class B drugs and possession of Class B drugs with intent to supply. The trio were released on bail pending further enquiries.
